RUHS-Public Health (Riverside County)

The Riverside University Health System- PH (County of Riverside), Health Equity Teams continue to work on internal and external equity-focused projects. In addition, the department hired a Climate Justice Program Director who will focus on addressing climate change and its impacts on the community. The County of Riverside also hired an EAO (Equity, Access, and Opportunity) officer who focuses on adopting preventative measures and developing initiatives and workgroups to improve access to services and fight systemic racism and implicit bias. Finally, the department has re-launched the Health Equity & Justice Committee and their Health Equity Strategic Plan which focuses on the integration and consideration of equity throughout the department and various programs.
